Our team has a huge experience in research and development in the ATM area

We are one of the developers of the air traffic planning and flow management system for Russian Main ATM Centre (Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State ATM Corporation"). The first version of our ATFM system was introduced in 2003 and it has been working there ever since. This system enables to predict demand-capacity imbalances in strategic, pre-tactical, tactical and post-operational phases

Similar systems (for tactical and pre-tactical analysis) were introduced in several Russian FIRs in the early 2000s. Currently all the Russian FIRs can get this information from the Main ATM Centre online (using our thin-client)

In 2005 we developed a system for design and analysis of any types of restricted airspace areas, for NOTAMs publishing for State ATM Corporation 

In 2009-2010 we customized the Russian ATFM system to work as a part of the International Air Navigation Service “EAST” (Russian Federation, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic)

In 2010-2011 in collaboration with Softaero JVS we developed a prototype of web application providing easy user-friendly flight planning and FPL filling.   

Currently we are supporting all these systems


In 2006 we started developing the Air Traffic Management Simulation tool (KIM OrVD) using our experience in ATFM. It is a fast-time simulation tool supporting ATM research

A lot of different research and studies were conducted using KIM OrVD:

  • Assessment of a FIR structure and configuration
  • Research of the reduced separation standards implementation
  • Assessment of the proposed airspace structure changes in Moscow FIR
  • Assessment of the airport capacity

At present time we conduct following researches of proposed Moscow FIR airspace structure:

  • Assessment of the new version of proposed changes in the airspace  structure of the adjacent FIRs
  • Assessment of the new version of proposed changes in Moscow Terminal Area
  • Assessment of the Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports capacity


The next step in working on simulation tools was the Complex of Ground and on-board ATM procedures prototyping tools (KIS UVD) which we started developing in 2011. The Complex of Prototyping Tools enables to conduct hardware-in-the-loop and human-in-the-loop simulation studies on all the phases of flight from gate to gate. The Complex is designed for demonstrationsimulation and research of new technologies in the air traffic management system, new airborne procedures and new avionics solutions

2012 - Research into Pilot-Controller interaction based on CPDLC

2012 - Human-in-the-loop simulation of arrival flow management procedures using the AMAN system prototype for Sheremyetevo airport

2013 - Research into advanced approaches and algorithms for air traffic flow management

2013 - Assessment of the benefits of using electric landing gear based on simulation of aircraft movement on Sheremetyevo airfield

2014 - Development of the DMAN and A-SGCMS systems interaction through a model of Airport Operation Database

2013-2016 - Research of the prospective airborne CNS-ATM functions

2013, 2015, 2017 - Demonstration of The Complex of Prototyping Tools at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS
